Pretty little birdies
Picking in the turdies

Called out by children at the sight of birds pecking in the horseshit for oats.

Today this koan evokes this in me:
The vast majority of religions are, on the whole, systems for the command,
control and exploitation of one group of humans, by another group...
and/or systems for individuals to willingly imprison themselves within,
but they also, in part, contain some grains of spiritual truth...
The trick is to pick through the shit and find the oats.
