I'm in Seattle, USA now, and it's possibly been the most expensive 5 days of my life to date!

- I just bought myself a 1990 Ford Taurus stationwagon (that's "estate" to Brits) for just $1130... off a geezer called Don, who hails from the Bronx, but is very gald to have "escaped from New York"...
- mind you reg and insurance was another $900! ouch! Still it seems to be sound and the air con works and it's big enough I can sleep in the back so I should save some money that way... Monday I'm gonna head off to the Olympic national park and hike around then drive route 101 down the west coast down to San Fran...

- I've been staying at the Green Tortoise hostel here and met a bunch of very cool peeps here, Hi Liza! Cory, Ben, Haydn, Erin, Adi, Selena, Sonya, Lucy, Hal, Frankie, Dr Steve! I've been out on the beverage every night and generally having a rocking time: seen a bunch of bands: Second Coming + DC and the Washingtons at the Lane Staley tribute gig on Friday night, and last night I saw the Bellrays kick arse at the Crocodile Cafe! :)

The sun is shining and I need a shower and a shave, fingers crossed I have a date today and maybe I'll get chance to hook up with a friend of mine from Reading!
