Also keep watch on afharrold and Matt Westwood's mp3 pages, 'cos soon

Thoughts of Preacher John #2:
It ain't all "yes" or "no", baby.

The trap of yes/no, black/white, on/off, good/evil, god/satan,
dichotomous thinking can suck people down in many ways.
Linear 0 vs 1 logic is a powerful tool for modelling
certain aspects of the world, but people become obsessed
into believing it's the be-all and end-all.

Very dangerous. This thinking permeates many levels of
societies' behaviour, across a number of cultures.

There are states between any two extremes set down in any question
or statement - and there are often states outside those extremes,
unknown to the person who set up the original question.

So here's some other, equally valid answers, besides "yes" or "no"
even to questions / ideas set up in a 0/1 framework -
"maybe"
or "the probability is..."
and "mu"
(lit: "unask the question" i.e. - the truth cannot
be found within the boundaries of the question / assumptions).

Also, the power of non-linear thought should not be neglected.
Creation and innovation often require non-linear leaps of thought.
Intuitions bubbling up from the sub-concious, the dark, little
understood parts of the brain may be the products of highly-evolved
headgut software... or not...

Consider many aspects.
Do not assume.
Allow your state of mind free rein.

Redundancy of Channelidris site(s). Alternative links for you to use if all else fails. ;)

I've built Channelidris using a variety of free hosting services and cheap / free dial up ISPs.

Firstly, I built redundancy into Channelidris by mirroring the main site onto two servers. There are two URLs per main site server as well.

Secondly, the main site itself is a "meta-site" - it pulls together a whole bunch of "sub"-sites to look as tho' they're all on one machine, when they are in fact hosted on different machines.

I'm posting links to all the main and sub-sites for everyone to see, because the current economic climate looks bad for free providers AND my phone company*, so you never know what part(s) of Channelidris may go "poof" at any time. I am hoping to sort out indie hosting, but that takes time, so.... Should bits of my little web empire start disappearing, at least you'll be able to find the surviving islands in the archaepeligo using the direct links I'll provide below.

(*I have no sympathy for my phone company as they are !!!crapcrapcrap!!! - my line has been down for a month now!)

Let's start with the main site
http://www.preacherjohn.co.uk
is a divert URL that takes you to:
http://www.channelidris.co.uk

OR there's a mirror of the main site at:
http://www.idris.freewire.co.uk
note- due to dial-up problems this mirror has not been updated since Jan. 2002... I hope to sort this out eventually....
The divert URL that sends you to the freewire mirror is:
http://www.sodiumproductions.co.uk

Sub-sites which carry some (but not all) of the info. and goodies available through the Channelidris main site(s) are:

Here's a grass roots, direct action news site -
just as partisan in its own way as any of the big news rags,
but if you're trying to develop an informed and balanced idea
of what the hell is going on then this well worth checking out:
http://www.schnews.org.uk/
Especially good for alternative viewpoint on those "rentamob protestors"
big meedja love to demonize and also for having some sense of humour
& reporting good news once in a while... ;)

Thoughts of Preacher John #1:
The price of your life

Your perceptions begin and end with your life,
without it you have nothing - and from your
personal point of view - there is nothing.

Your life is finite.
It has a beginning.
It will have an end.

No amount of money will ever buy you more life.
Every hour you sell to someone else is a piece
of your sole and unique life lost to you forever.

Hence: it is never possible for any employer to pay you
what your time is really worth.
It is never possible for them to pay you enough to do
anything that you would not have chosen to do anyway
- unpaid and unbidden.

The vast majority of j.o.b.s = just over broke.
Just enough to keep you alive and keep you
schlepping back to work every day.
If they paid you enough to save,
you would buy your freedom.

Keeping those wages low = keeping the slave in "wage-slave".

So!
Slack off, make calls on their dime,
use up company resources - for all you are worth.
For in a very real way:
"they" are stealing your only, finite, unique life.

And what's worse - "they" expect you to be grateful for it.

Go read this:
http://www.anxietyculture.mcmail.com/contentf.htm
Right click on the link to open it in a new window - 'cos it's one
of those ludicrous sites that thinks you'll like it more
'cos it won't let you click "back" to go away from it!
Grrrrrrr!!!
